Commented Issue: Exception occurred attempting to create an adapter [13195]

Hi, when trying to validate our service contract elements we are receiving this error (validation & generation seems to be OK), ¿can you help us?:

"Error 1 [ModelBus]: DSL5012: Exception occurred attempting to create an adapter.\nAdapterManager: Microsoft.Practices.ServiceFactory.DataContracts.ModelBusAdapters.DataContractDslAdapterManager\nAssembly: Microsoft.Practices.ServiceFactory.DataContracts.ModelBusAdapters, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35\nException: ModelingAdapterReferenceFormatException\nException message: DSL5017: The full path representing a Model file is null or empty or invalid. Guys,

The workaround in the blogpost didn't work for me. What is did to fix the problem was to recreate the .host file and add all the services to them again.

Commented Issue: DataContract Designer not opening [16244]

The WSSF designer is not opening anymore. It opens the XML all the time. It's only the data contract. The only way to open it is with the right click and open with .. command. Shift F7 always opens the xml and not the designer. Other post suggested to remove a node from the xml (<SubType>) ... I don't have that node in the xml.

What can i do to fix it?
Comments: ** Comment from web user: guldan **

@marcgh had the same problem as you. When i created a new one and copied the contents from the old one into it the designer would work again. What caused the problem in my case was the fact that we had a conflict in the datacontracts file in source control (SVN) it would create >>>>>>>>>>>> .mine text in the xml file. but after removing it the designer broke.

Created Issue: Memory leak when validating [16497]

When validating a fairly large host design file or any other file, i see the memory my vs 2010 sp1 uses rise from 600mb to 2500mb. This also makes webservice software factory really slow and prone to crashes of Visual studio

I have to following software:
1.Windows 7 64 bits
2.Visual studio 2010 SP1
3.Resharper (thought it also occured before installed that)
4.latest version of WSSF through nuget.

Commented Issue: Generate Code in Service Factory, causing Visual studio instance to close [16440]

We are using service factory to generate WCF service.

We have more than 100 operations defined in our service contract. When we try to "generate code" from the service factory, the memory taken by the Visual studio instance is increasing substantially, finally causing the Visual studio instance to close.

Any suggestions as to what to look at from here would be appreciated.

Regards,
Vijay

This error occurs despite my verifying that 'Microsoft.Practices.ServiceFactory.Extenders.DataContract.Wcf' is in ..\wssf\lib\ under the extensions folder. It's also loaded into VS 2010.

Hmm, most other code is generated - it's just the service contract and message contract that contain the text "ErrorGeneratingOutput" presumable from failed T4.

I would love to use this product but unfortunately I have the same issue, just to add some additional information on my setup, I have a VMware with 64bit Windows 2008 R2, VS2010 and BizTalk 2010 with ESB installed. These reason I mention this is because ESB has Enterprise Library 5.0 as a prerequiste and I think this might be causing a conflict

I have the same issue across multiple solutions including the HOL solution. Validation works, code generation works for data contracts but fails on the message contract. DOesn't matter if the type is primative or not.

Commented Issue: Generate Service Does not create dlls [5052]

We have been working with the HOL (using binary install) and have run into a curious problem. After creating the MaterialMgmt host application, clicking Generate Service does not create dll's in the bin folder for one developer but does for another on the same system. I'm working with a co-worker and when she executes the Generate Service, the dlls aren't built. If she logs off and I log on, it works for me. According to our infrastructure group, we have the same permissions. Any suggestions as to what to look at from here would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim

This open source version feels a little half-baked even compared to the last official release by the P&P folks. Is anyone using it successfully?

Created Issue: MessageContract issue with Web Service Software Factory [19370]

I am using the Web Service Software Factory 2010 to generate my web service code. (Using WCF with XmlSerlializer)

I have request XSD file with the following as a root element.

....

When I generate the Code from Host Designer, it creates MessageContract class like below...

namespace Service.MessageContracts
{
/// <summary>
/// Service Contract Class - SubmitRequest
/// </summary>
[WCF::MessageContract(IsWrapped = false)]
[WCF::XmlSerializerFormat]
public partial class SubmitRequest
{
private DataContracts.SubmitRequest submitRequest;

[WCF::MessageBodyMember(Namespace=&quot;service/2012/01&quot;, Order=0)]
[System.Xml.Serialization.XmlElementAttribute]
public DataContracts.SubmitRequest SubmitRequestField
{
get { return submitRequest; }
set { submitRequest = value; }
}

public SubmitRequest()
{
}

public SubmitRequest(DataContracts.SubmitRequest submitRequest)
{
this.submitRequest = submitRequest;
}
}
}

I don't know how it creates &quot;SubmitRequestField&quot; (Wrapped property of SubmitRequest)

The issue here is - this creates problem with Schema Validation. When I Create WSDL and generates Client Proxy Request they have SubmitRequestField at the top body element which fails the Schema Validation with the XSD which is having &quot;SubmitRequest&quot; element at the top.

Why WSSF generates this &quot;SubmitRequestField&quot; field automatically? Is there any way to avoid this?
